Viv
McElgunn-Lieskovsky
A long time resident
of Penticton, British Columbia, Canada, Viv’s paintings are in public,
private and corporate collections worldwide. She holds a B. Ed in Fine
Arts and M. Ed in Counselling Psychology from the University of British
Columbia and is retired after being an art educator, counsellor, and administrator
in BC public schools for 32 years. Viv remains passionate about art education,
continuing to present workshops to children and adults and has facilitated
sessions at UBCO and at provincial and national conferences. She is an
active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA).
Viv’s work spans a variety of subject matter and mediums, and she
is particularly intrigued by lighting as it affects landscapes and natural
elements. The intensity of light and the range of contrasts it provides
is reflected in her signature style of colour blocking on her canvasses.
Viv and her husband
Dave, along with their daughter Heather (a budding artist) enjoy the varied
lifestyle that Penticton offers.
